The RECOVER Project Recovery Coach in Greenfield, Massachusetts

GREENFIELD - PART & FULL TIME POSITIONS - Recovery Coach The RECOVER Project, a program of The Western MA Training Consortium, a well-established peer-to-peer recovery support program with a strong community presence, and provide positive solution based recovery coaching within Franklin County and the North Quabbin areas. The fundamental role of the Recovery Coach is to support adults in early recovery to build their recovery capital. This involves mentoring on their chosen pathway of recovery, connecting them to the recovery community and resources, and creating a daily climate of recovery through language and modeling recovery values. Recovery Coaches will also have the opportunity to be an essential contributor to the CONNECT Program, which is the opiate overdose response team established by The Opiate Taskforce of Franklin County. The Recovery Coach would also connect with community partner programs and sub-communities, and host walk-in hours for Recovery Coaching at the RECOVER Project. The successful candidate will have personal lived experience in substance use recovery. They will have the ability to build trusting, positive, and strength-based relationships, uphold the value of multiple pathways of recovery, support peer-to-peer connections and be familiar with local resource information. The ability to work a flexible schedule including availability for some evening, weekend, and holiday hours is required. The RECOVER Project is committed to recruiting, training and supporting staff who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color; bicultural/bilingual Spanish a plus. We are interested in candidates that meet the following criteria for the Recovery Coach position: Belief that recovery is possible for all. Personal lived experience in substance use recovery with an established support system. Experience and ability to build trust, be positive, and have a strength-based relationship, uphold values of multiple pathways of recovery, and support peer-to-peer connections. Ability to work flexible hours including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required. Understands when/how to share lived experience in a helpful, appropriate way. Ability to maintain healthy relationships with good boundaries. Demonstrated ability to communicate in an affective and appropriate way. Ability to use technology including MS Office and social media platforms effectively. Familiarity with and ability to research local resources.
