We\'re looking for a new produce team member with a curious mind, an appreciation for physical work, and an affection for vegetables. As a produce associate, your primary responsibilities are all about maintaining the beauty and quality of the heart of our store - the produce department. You will regularly monitor the quality of all fruits, vegetables, and other produce, rotate product regularly, unload trucks, maintain a clean and attractive work environment, and offer customer service to shoppers trying to decide what vegetables to bring home for dinner. Schedule: This position is for the afternoon shift. Shift times are 12pm-8pm Pay: \$16.00-18.00, commensurate with experience. Duties & Responsibilities: - Build & rotate produce displays. - Check produce for quality & freshness. - Stock and clean shelves, bins, and food preparation areas. - Maintain back stock in good order. - Provide excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: - In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours. - Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and standing (Must be able to lift 50 pounds). - Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. Requirements & Experience: - Produce or retail experience preferred - Pallet Jack experience preferred. - Customer service experience preferred - Prior grocery experience preferred
