GREAT BARRINGTON LOCATION ONLY Guido\'s Fresh Marketplace is looking to hire a cashier to join our front-end team in our Great Barrington store. A cashier will report directly to the front-end manager and department supervisors. A cashier provides support as a member of the Front-End team to include assisting customers during the check-out process, performing all cash register functions, bagging groceries, and working at the customer service desk. This position can be full-time or part time. The schedule will consist of a mix of morning and evening shifts. One weekend day is required. Flexibility is always appreciated! Duties and Responsibilities - Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately. - Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. - Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register - changing tapes and ribbon as necessary. - Follows all cash handling procedures - meeting and exceeding regional cashier variance policy. - Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices. - Answers department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette. - Prioritizes department needs. - Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor - Helps to create positive customer experience Key Skills Required - Strong basic math skills - Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team. - Ability to follow instructions and procedures - Effective time management skills - Strong work ethic and integrity - Be upright and moving for long periods of time - Lower oneself to grasp objects Pay Range: Up to \$17.00, commensurate with experience
