Process Technician II

Job responsibility

This position is 100% on-site. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Main responsibility will be operation and setup of new chemistry processes, process control via titration, and scheduled PMs of wet benches. Must adhere to the standard operation procedure and safety policies of Applied Materials.

  • Work closely with senior process engineer to develop new wet etching processes and process control methods to support new product and applications development, customer demonstration, field process matching, and process optimization.

  • Work closely with chemical suppliers to order chemicals and maintain chemical inventory for the wet etching process.

  • Work with EHS team to ensure proper chemical authorizations are in place and maintain and report neutralization discharge volume in compliance to permit.

  • Perform chemical bath changeout, chemical filters changeout, and bulk waste chemical drum changeout under supervision.

  • Ensure that the tool up time is ≥ 90% through daily SPC (Statistical Process Control) tracking and on-time scheduled PMs.

  • Diagnose and determine root cause of equipment issues when the SPC is out of control limits. Actively communicate with appropriate team members when equipment maintenance and troubleshooting are required.

  • Prioritize job order based on customer business requirements. Communicate with internal customers and deliver accurate results with a sense of urgency to support business needs and technical requirements.

  • Perform computer entries into job tracking database and maintenance logbooks as appropriate.

  • Create daily pass down to lab manager and colleagues at the end of the shift.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, High School diploma or GED.

  • A minimum of two years working experience in a cleanroom environment of semiconductor fab.

  • Equipment maintenance experience and metrology support is a plus.

  • Experience with wet chemical etching in a semiconductor fab is preferred.

  • Capacity to solve problems with minimal supervision. Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of basic SPC rule is required.

  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work inside a cleanroom - sit or stand for prolonged periods with full gowning and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required when handling chemicals.

  • Must follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations of OSHA and company policies. Exercise good judgement, know when to ask for help.

  • Ability to work in a small team environment and highly dynamic environment interfacing multiple functional areas.

  • Strong organization skills, written and verbal communication and active listening skills.

U.S. Salary Range:

$21.00 - $29.15

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
