GILL Temporary Kitchen Services Assistant Temporary Part-Time Mount Hermon, MA, US Requisition ID: 1027 Salary Range: \$17.00 To \$17.50 Hourly Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) seeks a temporary Kitchen Services Assistant (KSA). The KSA is responsible for the cleaning of food production equipment and wares, dining rooms, offices, and storage areas in support of a residential dining program, Auxiliary Enterprises and outside clients. They should be able to assist as needed in food production and service, including the setup and breakdown of service areas and equipment. The agreement for this position will run from hire until 12/20/2024. A Day in the Life: The Dining Services Support Specialist is essential to the smooth operation of our dining facilities and events. This individual takes charge of cleaning, sanitizing, and storing all equipment and smallwares used in meal service, ensuring that the dining hall facilities are impeccably maintained. They operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including dishwashing machines, floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, power washers, and beverage dispensers, to keep everything in optimal working condition. This role also involves directly training and supervising work job students, providing clear instructions to foster a pleasant, fun, and safe working environment. They are responsible for delivering and executing catered events, such as coffee services and dinners. Adhering to all safety, sanitation, and food handling policies as outlined in the Dining Services Policy Guide is a key part of the job. Required Skills and Qualifications: Ability to move up to 40 lbs. Requires frequent use of stairs. Ability to remain stationary for long periods, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to work in four-season, outdoor weather conditions; day & night time A valid Driver\'s License. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma/G.E.D. Experience in Customer Service 1 + years, or Food Service BOH 2 + years, or Hospitality 1 + years. This is an in-office position. The area of most need is from 4:30 PM - 8:15 PM. We are looking for a candidate with flexible availability who can work 20 - 30 hours per week. This is a part time and temporary position.
