GILL - Groundskeeper Northfield Mount Hermon seeks an energetic individual to maintain the safety and physical appearance of the grounds and athletic facilities including the hockey rink and pool facility. Other responsibilities include collection and disposal of rubbish, recycling and surplus materials for the school, and other duties as assigned. This position will also provide support to the general service department as needed. Successful applicants will have outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills including the ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently. The successful applicant is required to have a valid driver\'s license and must be able to acquire and maintain the necessary pest control licensure required for the turf industry along with DOT 2B and 1C hoisting licenses within six months of employment. This position also requires the ability to lift 75-100 pounds and perform repetitive motion tasks. Previous athletic field & grounds maintenance experience is preferred Candidates must also have flexibility in the weekly work schedule as some scheduled weekend work, as well as overtime, is required as is the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and be available for 24-hour emergency on-call snow removal when applicable.
