Making Opportunity Count Inc CFCE Program Coordinator in Gardner, Massachusetts
Hours: Part-time, 26 hrs/week, flexible hours: may require evening and/or weekend
BASIC FUNCTION: Primary responsibility of CFCE program Coordinator is the oversite of the CFCE program in collaboration with the CFCE Department Manager. Coordinate CFCE activities, community outreach and family support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and execute CFCE community playgroup, parent activities and community events.
Conduct Early Literacy workshop for families using Read and Rise model
To promote family education, engagement and literacy
Provide resource and referral support to families
Build and maintain open, friendly and informative relationship with families, providers and other community partners
Partner with other community members to offer families a variety of opportunities to participate in developmental appropriate, literacy activities to promote school readiness
Implement required program assessments( ASQ screenings) and play group evaluations
- AA in Early Childhood Education, Human Services
A minimum of high school diploma and 5 years experience with demonstrated knowledge in human service or early childhood education or family literacy.
Strong knowledge of and commitment to low income population and issues affecting these families.
