Job Title: Senior Depot Repair Technician

Location/Division Specific Information

This position is part of the Materials and Minerals business unit in the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). The role is based in Franklin, MA.

How will you make an impact?

  • As a Senior Depot Repair Technician working within the Environmental and Process Monitoring Business, you will be part of a dedicated and professional depot repair team whose responsibilities include all aspects of service support for our customers. This position is primarily focused on servicing the Product Inspection Value Stream, including but not limited to the Checkweighing, Metal Detection, and X-Ray Systems.

This role primarily works in the Repair Depot as well as any applicable Manufacturing and Test Cells. Though a factory based position, initial and occasional travel for product or service training, or to support our customers as needed may be required.

What will you do?

  • Present professional, efficient, and friendly service to all customers

  • Must complete all applicable training and certification as required.

  • Clean, inspect, and document pre-repair condition of systems and instrumentation.

  • Perform troubleshooting including component and system failure analysis using standard diagnostic techniques.

  • Replace non-conforming and preventative maintenance parts as required.

  • Perform full checkout, testing, and calibration of repaired instrumentation, providing appropriate test data/documentation.

  • Generate, maintain, and provide record keeping functions for Return Authorizations, Service Quotes, and Service Orders.

  • Participate in lean practices and continuous improvement events

  • Continuously promote our company and service organization’s core values.

How will you get here?

  • 2 year College/Technical Degree and/or equivalent service work experience.

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years in a service related environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must be an organized self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills who requires minimal supervision to succeed.

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments a must.

  • Must be able to interpret and follow work instructions, test procedures, wiring diagrams, schematics, and repairs through to completion as required.

  • In situations where only limited standardization exists, ability to solve problems with timely resolution is essential.

  • Working knowledge of manufacturing, process, and analytical instrumentation, pneumatics, and mechanics is desired.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and database applications (CRM and ERP tools) are required.

  • Strong professional communication, follow up, and problem solving skills are necessary.
