Sanofi Group Technology Transfer Leader, Evolutive Facility in Framingham, Massachusetts

Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) acts as a crucial link between our R&D and Manufacturing facilities, playing a vital role in securing the present portfolio and delivering future launches of high-quality and innovative drugs and vaccines. By driving its own transformation, Global MSAT fulfils an important function by providing day-to-day Manufacturing Support, focusing on technical and process aspects, effective Life Cycle Management, process robustness enhancement, and yield improvements to optimize performance.

The Technology Transfer group is responsible for delivering best-in-class Technology Transfers to enable Sanofi’s growth in existing and new products. The group is responsible to establish and maintain the Technology Transfer infrastructure, standards and processes for Sanofi for all Technology Transfers from R&D to Manufacturing Supply and the external network of CMOs. The range of Technology Transfers spans New Product Introductions, Site to Site transfers and Life Cycle programs. The Technology Transfer group is also responsible for understanding and applying internal and external benchmarks to establish and deliver the roadmap to Top Decile Technology Transfer, comprising of standardization, simplification and digitization of the Technology Transfer framework.

Sanofi Manufacturing & Supply is preparing for its future by building an Evolutive Facility (EVF). The EVF project is a cornerstone of Sanofi’s strategy creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive, modular, adaptable, and agile multi-product facilities that take advantage of new disruptive technologies to better meet the challenges of the vaccine industry.

About the Job:

As Technology Transfer Leader for the Singapore EVF program, responsible for working with the Sending and Receiving Unit Leaders to oversee, develop and deliver a detailed technology transfer plan encompassing process transfer, process adaptation/improvement, process & product comparability as well as project governance

Main Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the New Product Introduction Lead and other site leaders at the 8NYA site to ensure thorough and robust transfer of process, operational and logistical information to ensure Receiving Unit success

  • Partner closely with the receiving unit lead and other site leaders at EVF Singapore to ensure rigorous and thorough Technology Transfer, addressing all lessons learned from the Sending Unit, anticipating and mitigating facility, process, and analytical risks, and supporting operational readiness of the site

  • Ensure robust industrialization through thorough capture and transfer of process knowledge, operational and organizational practices

  • Drive on-time and right-first-time achievement of Technology Transfer milestones through robust risk assessments and the mitigation of risks/lessons learned from the Sending Unit site

  • Promote collaborative and constructive working environment between sending site, receiving site and global functions.

  • Manage effectively cultural differences of the teams and create strong and sustainable team spirit in both sites while providing leadership to drive agility and rapid problem solving to keep the program on track; anticipate and mitigate technical, logistical, people and other issues

About You:

  • Experience : Leadership positions in Biologics Operations, MSAT, Technology Transfer, Process and plant start up

  • Soft skills : Delivering results through team performance, agility and problem solving, strong drive for efficiency and continuous improvement, ability to establish partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Work Model : Ability to work 2-3 days onsite each week per our hybrid work policy

  • Technical skills : E2E Biologics Operations, DS and DP manufacturing, Technology Transfer, CMC, Process Validation

  • Education : MS or PhD in Life Sciences or Engineering in Biologics related field

  • Languages : English, French
