This role is for a Senior Portfolio Manager (able to work Remotely) that will be responsible for the Aftermarket Contracts product portfolio. The Sr. Product Manager establishes clear business justifications for projects, represents the voice of customers to prioritize product requirements, leads product lifecycle, defines value propositions and establishes pricing and discount policies. This role will require collaboration with Service and Aftermarket teams as well as the Marketing, Product Line Management, R&D, and Commercial and Business unit functions within SCIEX.

Main position objectives:

  • Take ownership, drive decisions and accountability for the Aftermarket Contracts product portfolio which includes but not limited to hardware and software contracts, for MS/LC/CE and other products primarily sold by the Aftermarket Sales organization.

  • Lead the process for deciding which products are ready for end-of-support/EOL/obsolescence.

  • Engage across all product management teams to align strategy and product development to drive new business

  • Work cross-functionally with R+D, Product Line Management, Sales, Marketing and Business Units, and the OEM suppliers to support the execution of projects and lead the existing portfolio of products

  • Structure new product and contract bundles to address new market opportunities that will include contracts, service, and parts from the entire SCIEX portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development road maps for the Aftermarket Contracts products to ensure portfolio alignment and meet the needs of the LC/MS markets

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to fix issues and improve products

  • Synthesize customer input for product development teams and identify user and buyer personas, user needs, and product roadmaps

  • Work closely with the global commercial teams and with customers to understand gaps in product portfolio and work with accurate justification to fill the gaps

  • Seek out and explore new aftermarket contracts product ideas to grow revenue and increase customer happiness.

  • Accountable for key aspects of product commercialization to ensure success in meeting revenue goals

  • Develop Business Plans and alignment for future products and track the competitive landscape.

  • Supervises financial performance of the Aftermarket Contracts product lines (revenue, profitability, attachment rate, and AUP) both at and after market. Establishes KPI’s for the product line’s financial performance and develops countermeasures when performance is not met

Qualifications:

  • Participate in all P2P and other required activities in order to ensure a focused and profitable business.

  • No less than 9 years of industry related experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 years with a Master's.

  • Proven knowledge of Mass Spectrometry or similar experience preferred

  • Experience working in a global environment

Travel:

This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites globally, with additional travel to trade shows and SCIEX sites (maximum 30%).
