Actalent Laboratory Technician in Framingham, Massachusetts

Job Title: Specimen ProcessorJob Description

The Specimen Processor will receive samples, open boxes, and organize the workspace. The Specimen Processor will enter all patient demographic and testing information into the LIS system, label all samples for testing, and run automated aliquoting equipment. Specimen Processors will check samples and requisition forms for adequacy and flag any discrepancies or issues. Responsibilities include performing sample preparation, patient data entry into the LIS system, running automated equipment and incubators, accurate labeling of patient samples, following daily decontamination protocol, handling problem resolution upon receipt of information from the Customer Care team, and organizing and restocking all lab supplies.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Work Environment

All laboratory tests are performed in our CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified clinical laboratory in Framingham, Massachusetts. The work schedule is 1st shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30am-6:00pm. The team is super friendly and looking for individuals who get along well with others. The work environment is business casual, and the team consists of 5 individuals.
