Job Description - Deputy Administrator of Administration & Finance The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) provides fixed route, demand response, commuter shuttles, and microtransit services in the MetroWest area. As the need for public transportation continues to grow, so does the MWRTA, and as a result the MWRTA is seeking to hire a Deputy Administrator of Administration and Finance. The Deputy Administrator of Administration and Finance will be responsible for the oversight of several departments with overall responsibility for Grants Management, Financial Management, Audits, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Human Resources. * Reliable, motivated, and driven * Works well under pressure (with varying time constraints) and in a fast-paced environment * Experience leading a team of individuals and/or entire departments * Organized and able to prioritize or multitask as needed * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Commitment to lead a team at an agency that is diverse, innovative, and provides a crucial service to thousands of people in MetroWest Core Responsibilities of Deputy Administrator of Administration and Finance include, but are not limited to: * Oversight of grants and financial administration, * Oversight of procurement and administrative contractual responsibilities * Generate and review reports, invoices, annual reviews and high level correspondence. * Lead audit preparation as well as on-site reviews. * Attend and lead weekly team meetings. * Committed to continuing professional development by participating in educational opportunities, conferences, and webinars. * From time to time may be required to perform other functions or duties as directed by the Administrator. Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required: Bachelor\'s degree in finance, administration, human resources, and/or public administration in combination with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Advance degree preferred. Equivalent, relevant industry experience of an additional 10 years can be substituted for degree requirement.
