Weston & Sampson Sr. Structural Bridge Engineer in Foxborough, Massachusetts
Weston & Sampson is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in our Foxboro, MA office with 8-12 years of experience with bridge design work and dealing with multiple projects and clients along with managing technical, budgetary and client aspects of projects.
What you’ll do:
Leading and assisting the prosecution of work associated with planning, design, and construction administration of a variety of structural bridge, culvert, and other transportation structure related projects for public clients.
Preparation of plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates for municipal and state DOT projects.
Required to work closely with the project managers in managing the technical aspects of a project, delegate tasks, and review work performed by others in order to prepare and complete deliverables such as plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for clients
Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites, and potentially to other W&S office locations.
What you will bring:
BS in Civil Engineering is required; MS in Civil Engineering is a plus
Licensed Professional Engineer required or able to obtain within the first 6 months
NCEES Record and having passed the SE 16-hour exam is also a plus.
Experience with MA DOT Standards is required
Experience in MicroStation Open Roads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D is required, experience in REVIT is a plus.
Proficient in the use of structural analysis and design software, including but not limited to, AASHTOWARE, PennDOT ABLRFD, Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Concrete, STAAD, MathCAD is preferred.
Ability to self-start is important.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and time management skills
Valid driver’s license
