Making Opportunity Count Inc Psychotherapist in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

BASIC FUNCTION: Provide behavioral health treatment to clients through individual, family, couples, and/or group psychotherapy.

Making Opportunity Count is thrilled to be opening a new outpatient behavioral health practice this winter in Fitchburg, MA. We are seeking experienced and dynamic therapists to join us and be key members of the clinical team we are building. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about providing exemplary care, restoring hope, and inspiring our patients and their families to live healthier, fuller lives. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide direct psychotherapy to clients in a manner commensurate with their needs and industry best practice standards.

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, families, care providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate high quality communication, support, and coordination of care.

  • Act as an essential member of the clinical team through regular collaboration with in-office providers and participation in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.

  • Maintain client records in accordance with quality standards; complete clinical documentation including comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Work proactively with billing personnel to secure payor authorizations.

  • Conduct crisis interventions as needed, including participation in the after-hours on call rotation.

  • Provide clinical supervision to staff or interns as assigned.

  • Participate in MOC’s utilization review and quality assurance activities.

  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and professional ethics standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

  • Massachusetts independent licensure in a counseling discipline (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.) or active participation in a pre-established plan to obtain independent licensure within two years of hire.

  • Ability to work both in the office and also remotely from home.

  • Strong computer skills including an ability to host telehealth sessions and use electronic health records.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting.

  • Strong computer technology skills, including an ability to conduct telehealth sessions and use electronic health records

  • Ability to work both in the office and also remotely from home.

  • Acceptable professional and criminal background checks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full time candidates are preferred, but part time positions may be possible.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Knowledge and experience working with a wide range of clinical presentations and client populations.
