About the Role:
As a Family Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting families and children in our community. You will be responsible for providing guidance and resources to families in need, ensuring that they have access to the services and support they require. Your work will directly impact the lives of families and children, making a positive difference in our community. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of dedication and compassion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
Experience working with families and children in a social services or educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience working with diverse populations
Knowledge of community resources and services
Experience with case management software
Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to families in need, connecting them with the appropriate resources and services
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and service providers
Conduct assessments of family needs and develop individualized service plans
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided to families
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and services provided
Skills:
In this role, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with families and community organizations. Your ability to assess family needs and develop individualized service plans will be critical to your success. You will also need to be highly organized and able to manage your time effectively, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and monitoring the effectiveness of services provided. Additionally, your knowledge of community resources and services, as well as your experience with case management software, will be beneficial in this role.
