Community Health Connections Dental Operations Manager in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

Description

Major responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training and direct supervision of administrative staff. Ensuring that all administrative functions have proper coverage for optimal operational functioning.

  • Gather, organize, and analyze data regarding departmental performance, improvement projects and ongoing performance measures. Present data at departmental meetings and organization meetings.

  • Provide Dental with program/project support including: telephone and written correspondence, coordination/participating in meetings, and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts. Act as a representative of the department both internally and externally on behalf of the Director of Dental Operations.

  • Ensure that all department staff functions are completed with excellent care and high efficiency.

  • Works closely with Site Managers to ensure schedules are properly filled and maintained, and front desk staff are properly trained and covered

  • Order supplies and equipment for the department. Coding of financial invoices. Assistance in developing the department’s annual budget. Monitoring of the budget throughout the year to ensure financial success.

  • Approve provider payroll and time-off requests across all sites

  • Maintains Dental reminder system and dental surveys

  • Assist with gathering, formulating and organizing grant related materials

  • Works closely with the Director of Dental Operations to accomplish the operational goals and objectives of the division and to support the clinical leadership as needed.

  • Ensures provider schedules are optimized and full in order to achieve productivity expectations.

  • Communicates regularly with the Director of Dental Operations of concerns, issues, successes, etc.

  • Create and maintain department policies and procedures and ensure distribution to staff

  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment of the health center mission

  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the established CHC Values and Standards

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred

  • 3 years of similar work, internship, or volunteer experience strongly preferred

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, outlook and Powerpoint) and other PC based software

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or Portuguese preferred

  • Must have own transportation and active drivers license

  • Supervision experience preferred

  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written)
