Salary: $78,790 annually

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4p

Hiring Bonus: $3,500 (paid in two installments at three and six months)

What is the role of the Clinician at The Arc of Opportunity?

The Behavior Clinician is an integral member of a dynamic team at The Arc of Opportunity, working closely with colleagues and directly supporting individuals and families. In this role, you will conduct behavior assessments, select appropriate supports, and develop and monitor behavior support plans. The Behavior Clinician will also provide recommendations to individuals and their teams on effective behavioral supports and strategies, and will provide training

What you will do:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior plans, medication treatment plans, and restrictive practices

  • Utilize behavior data collection and analysis to implement effective behavioral support strategies.

  • Assists in determining intake, transfer and discharge decisions regarding individuals utilizing program/services

  • Provides training and support to staff, caregivers, and family members

  • Documents and maintains up-to-date individual case notes in the Electronic Health Record related to clinical goals and progress.

  • Assists in implementation of Positive Behavioral Supports framework and PBS trainer

  • Participates in Human Rights Committee, Clinical Meetings, and PBS Leadership meetings, and other as required.

  • Maintains clinical support presence throughout community and home-based programs

    Qualifications: A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and CORI are required during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.

  • Master’s degree required

  • Professional licensure required. BCBA, LICSW, LMHC, other related certifications/degrees considered.

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, and brain injury preferred. Experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders preferred

  • The ability to communicate effectively clearly conveying direction, desired outcomes, and vision to staff, individuals and families served, government agencies, community partners, funding sources, and senior management.

  • Ability to work flexible hours in a variety of locations (group homes in the community, loud day programs, cubicle-style main office building)

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, both written and verbal
