This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Control Inspector. This role is for our Fall River, MA site.

This role will be responsible for final product, sub-assemblies and parts inspection; ensuring those meet our customer and engineering requirements. Inspection made with measurement equipment, visual checks and testing. Data register and problem solving activities in order to improve our manufacturing processes.

Hourly Pay Rate: $22.25

Shift: 1st (6:45am-3:15pm) overtime & Saturday work as needed

Your responsibilities will include

  • Read blueprints and specifications

  • Inspect, certification, test, measure materials and products in production or already completed

  • Measure parts with calipers, gauges, micrometers or other instruments.

  • Capture data in spreadsheets and manage basic data bases

  • Manage instruments and calibrations, shipping out equipment to suppliers.

  • Contact with suppliers to coordinate shipping-returns of instruments and purchase orders. Create purchase orders when needed.

  • Identify the product based on the results after checking the parts.

  • Accept or reject parts/batch with the critical dimensions on control plans

  • Report the inspection test data and discuss inspection results with the supervisor

  • Monitor operations Control Plan to ensure that they meet production standard

  • Comply with Whirlpool safety standards and attendance policy.

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience

  • 1+ years of experience working with blueprints and electrical schematics

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Basic Computer Skills, Google Suite

  • Problem solving and critical thinking to understand potential issues on the product from a customer perspective and potential solutions

  • Organization skills for different tasks and data collection

  • Experience following step by step processes and work well with others

  • Ability to lead by example and make timely business decisionsRSRWH
