Process Engineer Job Description Reporting directly to the General Manager, develop and implement manufacturing process improvements related to safety, quality, and productivity. Job Responsibilities: Assess existing processes and workflows for best practice efficiency. Performs manufacturing cycle time studies. Optimize productivity by designing, testing, and implementing new and revised manufacturing procedures. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Engineering Specifications to support Manufacturing standards and controls through an Engineering Change Order process. Prepares Engineering reports to document new processes and process changes. Develop and track manufacturing metrics and Engineering statistical controls. Recommends areas for improvement and monitors upgrades. Communicate findings and proposals to upper management. Conduct process risk assessments by establishing and maintaining compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Recommend changes with HSE and Quality Department personnel as appropriate. Support root cause/corrective action teams for both product quality and process safety. Perform process design, development, and implementation of capital equipment projects. Design manufacturing tools and fixtures to support safety, quality, and productivity. Contribute to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Qualifications/Skills: Analytical, innovative thinker with attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems Proficient with computer and information technology Knowledge of process engineering and design engineering software systems Education, Experience: BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Computer aided design preferred 3-5 years of Process Engineering experience
