Description
The Blount family has been in the food business since 1880. Our product Line includes refrigerated and frozen gourmet soups, side dishes and entrees for food service and retail. The Company, headquartered in Fall River, MA, is the largest producer of clam chowder in New England and the largest manufacturer of Lobster bisque in the country.
Summary: The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and verification of raw material movements to and from the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy for daily need.
Daily Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for completing physical inventories, cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations
Track and report non-conforming product
Utilize MRP/ERP systems to maintain/process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity and past activity
Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged products
Publish weekly/quarterly inventory metrics
Work with warehouse personnel to ensure proper rotation (FIFO) and location of all inventory
Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
Maintain product identification and location program
Education and/or Experience
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Excellent attention to detail skills
Ability to take direction as well as think independently
