Expected salary range of $108,000 to $120,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Supervisor Marine Operations provides oversight and coordination with port partners and internal stakeholders to ensure the safe and efficient importation of LNG into the Port of Boston. Supervises the dissemination of information pertinent to the LNG Carrier transit from load port to discharge port. Ensure the retainage of such information electronically and at site. Monitor, maintain and optimize schedules and budgets associated with the marine operations of the LNG Facility. Negotiate alongside Commercial Group short-term and long-term LNG Supply contracts and/or vessel charter agreements Manage the performance and development of assigned Shipping Analyst relative to site and corporate objectives.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead Constellation's coordination efforts the U.S. Coast Guard to ensure all regulatory inspections and examinations of LNG carriers are completed in a timely manner to ensure pre-determined arrival times are not adversely impacted. Coordinate the corrective actions for any deficiencies noted during these inspections/examinations.

  • Direct the completion of ship/shore compatibility studies for discharge at the LNG terminal to ensure that vessels are compatible with the Everett Terminal.

  • Disseminate voyage calendars internally and for each coming month's arrival schedule to the U.S. Coast Guard.

  • Review, negotiate and manage and ensure compliance of the inbound transit security package MOU, Terminal Wharfing Agreements and tugboat and towing vessel services.

  • Serve as the company representative for all stakeholder meetings with Port of Boston regulators and partners. Ensure that all parties and vessels comply with all agreed-upon procedures and policies.

  • Maintain close liaison with the Constellation Commercial Operations Department in the development of short- and long-range vessel schedules while optimizing available resources to meet/exceed budgetary targets.

  • In conjunction with the Safety and Security Manager, attend Op Safe Transit meetings with the Coast Guard and port stakeholders to review and amend/establish security protocols for LNGCs transiting the Port of Boston.

  • Develop capital budget projections for upgrades/improvements to those areas of the Terminal subject to 33 CFR 127 (U. S. Coast Guard jurisdiction).

  • Collaborate with the relevant parties of the major LNG companies to identify and mitigate any issues that may impact the use of their vessels to discharge LNG at the Terminal.

  • Assist in conducting operational tasks in support of the Operations and Maintenance departments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma PLUS a minimum of 10 years of experience in shipping operations.

  • Detailed knowledge of LNG vessels and U.S. Coast Guard inspection procedures/methods.

  • TWIC credentialed

  • Must meet all physical requirements including those required under 49 CFR 193 as well as ability to lift a min. of 50 lbs, eyesight corrected to 20/40 to accurately read instruments, working in a confined space and at various heights.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering at an Accredited College or Maritime Academy.

  • Managerial experience in the energy industry or equivalent military rank
