Sage Therapeutics Associate Director, G&A Technology in EMAIL:, Massachusetts

General Scope and Summary

SAGE Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for an important role that is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining applications, software, and systems used to support the G&A functions.  This position will serve as a digital thought partner with business system users, vendors, and other DEC teams. This individual will partner with the People & Experience team and the DEC team to align the operational and tactical goals with DEC investment and digital solutions. They will understand the larger company-wide DEC landscape in both front-of-office applications and back-office infrastructure and solutions to support the development of enterprise-wide digital capabilities.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Head of G&A Technology and is a member of the DEC (Digital & Enterprise Capabilities) team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Driveproject initiatives and functional enhancementsof HR, Legal, and integration platforms.

  • Partner with assigned businessunits, Finance, HR, Legal, and other Departments to understand current systems and business processes, provide best practice guidance, and inform on latest features and functionality.

  • Manage a team ofproduct managers and specialists,includingcoaching and mentoring.

  • Act as liaison for outside vendors,from evaluation through go-live and support.

  • Partner with the Senior Director, Head G&ATechnology toleadplanning, design,implementation,and support of business applications; insure interface with existing applications, network, and operational server environments.

  • Establish and maintain compliance with various regulatory standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC,and Dept. of Labor.

  • Must understand privacy regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA and GDPR.

  • Work with business to identify systems requirements by analyzing businessrequirements,documenting functional/technicalspecifications andworkflows, etc.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations. Must have a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, excellent analytical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in computer science, business,or related technical field.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience (HRIS/ERP/Contract platform management and administration experience).

  • Experiencein General Ledger, Payables, Purchasing andWorkdayHCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, or Absence Management modules.

  • Experience supporting any of the following:Workday Core HCM,Benefits, Compensation, Performance, and Absence Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in G&A technology, digital solutions, employee experience, or customer-facing technology environment.

  • High degree of technical expertise and extensive knowledge ofWorkday,Oracle Financials,legalcontract management platforms, and Boomi Integration Hub or like technology.

  • High degree ofexpertiserelated to the selection, installation, and management of application software systems.

  • Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders.

  • Experience with Change Control, incident response, and release management.
