  • Assist Project Managers with technical design through CAD

  • Utilize Civil 3D to produce simple to complex, accurate drawings, and illustrations in accordance with company standards from data, sketches, and verbal or written communication

  • Develop preliminary site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, entrance plans, cross-sections, profiles, and other details

  • Assist with drawing reproduction, and plan set assembly, distribution, and filing

  • Work independently to prepare accurate, complete, and well-composed maps

  • Meet deadlines and complete work within established project budgets

  • Communicate effectively with team members


  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Relative associate degree is preferred

  • 3-6 years of experience performing design-related work in a civil engineering environment

  • Experience with Civil 3D required

  • Knowledge of civil plans and relationships among sheet types within a plan set

  • Able to work from rough sketches or verbal discussions to assist engineers in the development of simple drawings with minimal guidance and complex drawings with some guidance

  • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand

  • Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as a technical designer.
