Staff Accountant Job Type - Temporary Pay Rate - \$23.00 - \$28.00 / Hourly Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Easthampton, Massachusetts. As a key player in our manufacturing industry, you will have the opportunity to handle various accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Responsibilities: Execute and manage journal entries for routine transactions, ensuring they are properly posted in the appropriate accounts and accurately documented. Perform general accounting tasks including account reconciliation and maintenance of the ledger. Assist in monthly close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Develop financial reports for management to review, providing valuable insights into the company\'s financial status. Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system for efficient operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Handle additional tasks related to accounting operations as needed. Utilize skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries to perform duties efficiently. Ensure all transactions are documented and posted accurately. Requirements Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations Solid understanding of General Ledger operations Experience in making Journal Entries Excellent analytical skills for handling complex accounting data Strong ability to work with financial software and MS Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work Strong organizational skills for maintaining clear, concise financial records Good communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial staff members Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred Professional certification (such as CPA) is a plus.
