Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team located in Easthampton, Massachusetts. This role involves overseeing accounting functions in our organization, providing an opportunity to work in a highly engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and oversee the functioning of the accounting department, ensuring efficient operations

• Manage the auditing process to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Oversee billing functions, ensuring prompt and accurate invoicing

• Develop and maintain budgets, providing regular financial reports

• Supervise the recording of accounting entries, ensuring accuracy

• Ensure the effective utilization of accounting software systems for streamlined operations

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial information is recorded accurately

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they reflect the company's financial status

• Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial business processes to ensure data accuracy.

Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions including auditing, billing, budgeting, and accounting entries

• Experience in managing and maintaining the General Ledger

• Capable of conducting regular audits to ensure financial information accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles and procedures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Exceptional leadership and team management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not necessary

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
