We are seeking well qualified candidates for the full-time (35 hour) position of Youth Services Librarian. This position is responsible for administrative & technical work of the Youth Services Department, including the management of collections, programs, & services aimed at children, young adults, parents, & caregivers. The position is responsible for the planning, organizing, & maintaining the library\'s youth services, including the children\'s & young adult collections, as well as designing & implementing a variety of programs; provides outreach to elementary schools & community youth organizations to promote library programs & reading; & provides reference & advisory services to children, young adults, & adults, while directly serving our community youth & families. Under the supervision of the Library Director, the manager leads Youth Services assistants & volunteers through training, mentoring, & guidance. The position is responsible for all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree required; Master\'s Degree in Library & Information Science preferred; three years of library experience; experience working with children or young adults preferred; or an equivalent combination of training, education, or experience to perform the essential functions of the position.
