Accurate Plastics Process Engineer III in East Falmouth, Massachusetts
Process Engineer III Acculam, a dynamic and growing organization, located in Falmouth, Massachusetts, is looking for a high energy process engineer with 5 to 10 years composite manufacturing experience. We manufacture advanced composite sheet, plate, rod, and tubes. These products are used in a wide variety of applications ranging from but not limited to industrial, medical, defense, recreational, electronics and aerospace. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct process development of new processes. Conduct troubleshooting of present process issues. Optimize current processes to: o Reduce scrap. o Reduce downtime. o Improve quality. o Increase throughput. Document new procedures in support of process development and optimization. Issue Engineering Change Orders (ECO) modifying present processes. Investigate non-conformances, determine root cause and corrective action. Assist in design/development of new products. Assist in re-design of existing products and processes. Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System. Assist in maintaining environmental data collection and reporting. This is a position that requires a significant amount of time invested on the plant floor (70%). Minimum of a BS in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or equivalent. Plastics/Composites experience strongly preferred. Thermoset resin experience preferred. Reports to the Manager of Technology and Quality.
