Gentex Optics is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses. The Dudley, MA facility is home to Operations, Global Lens Engineering, and Research and Development teams that work together to develop, pilot and manufacture, semi-finished, polycarbonate lenses for premium markets. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting performance testing including adhesion, abrasion, Optics, and impact testing.

• Performing optical testing based on established testing requirements for both new products and samples moving through production.

• Entering testing data into PDC.

• Providing testing reports as requested.

• Calibration activites

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work with QA Lab supervisor regarding products that do not pass adhesion testing.

• Communicate with operators and production supervisors regarding product samples

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting is preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs is preferred

• Experience with PDC systems is preferred
