The primary function of the Sr. Supervisor, Audit is to execute critical audit work, oversee and provide coaching and assistance to audit staff, and participate in the drafting of all recommendations and the final audit report. In addition, the Sr. Supervisor ensures fieldwork is performed in a timely manner, ensuring all audit quality and client relation standards are met.

For this position, the self-starter individual will be continuing to develop a solid understanding of the business and the skill of managing others while executing critical audit work. While having no direct reports, this critical role is responsible/ involved in planning, executing audit work, writing audit reports, and guiding and developing the team. Specifically, the Sr. Supervisor works with the Manager to strategize and execute the scope of audits including the assignment of staff to complete specific audit tests and procedures and participates in the vetting of all concerns with business unit management\ IA Director and CAE.

  • Involved the drafting the final audit report and conclusions for review by the IA Director\ CAE and collaborates with the Audit Manager to ensure all assigned audit reviews and activities are completed within the required budgeted timeframe and of high quality.

  • Responsible for participating in regular continuous monitoring across the auditable entities under Operations and Process purview and will be required to actively participate in the annual risk assessment activities.

  • Participate in the review and challenge of critical IA testing and key work papers (planning memo, risk control matrix, etc.) prepared by other team members, including post-audit follow-up.

  • 5-7 years of audit experience with demonstrated progression in responsibilities and solid business writing.

  • SME regulatory knowledge of Third Party Risk Management

  • Analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work independently

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Technology and computer skills, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management is key

  • Detail oriented with organizational skills

  • Time management skills and the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner

  • Solid diplomatic skills with the ability to resolve conflict in a civil manner

  • Great leadership skills, teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently

  • Again, listens carefully to team members

  • Is comfortable with change and can alter tasks with guidance

  • Progressive decision making skills, making educated and timely judgments

  • Defines issues accurately, concisely and identifies the critical components

  • Ability to assist in the training of team members to advance skills and knowledge

  • Ability to quickly learn new information technologies and systems in order to evaluate controls

  • Business Acumen - Understands specific financial and accounting standards to identify and assess the impact and likelihood of operational risks.

  • CIA or field-related certification (CPA, CRCM, CRMA, CFE, CAMS, CFSA, CBA, etc.) preferred but, other designations are also considered with experience.
