Job Description

As the Accounting Specialist you will be working on the planning and implementation of a variety of accounting projects. Responsible for the short and long-term accounting and financial reporting. This person will work cross-functionally in collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting/financial reports and metrics. This person will be responsible for the company's end-of-month, quarter, and year close and audits, performing day-to-day tasks such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, bank reconciliations, expense report audits, and will report metrics to the leadership team along with other related duties as assigned.

Accounting Specialist must be a detailed oriented, well organized, results-driven member of the team across the accounting/financial functions and be willing to assist the team in any business need.

Compensation: $25-32/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

* BA/BS Degree in Accounting preferred, Finance, Economics, or other related business degree accepted, MA, MS in Accounting, CPA a plus.

* 5+ years of relevant accounting experience within a company of similar scale $25-50M.

* At least 3 years of direct hands-on experience with NetSuite, specifically within a corporate accounting environment, for financial reporting, general ledger, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.

* Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

* Proven track record in managing month-end and year-end close processes for financial reporting.

* Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

* Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle from journal entries, month-end and year-end close processes.

* Skilled in performing complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and intercompany accounts.

* Competence in managing AR/AP processes, including invoicing, collections, and timely payments.

* Hands-on experience managing general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, and preparing necessary adjusting entries.

* Familiarity with recording and adjusting accruals, prepaid expenses, and deferrals.

* Experience in assisting with the creation and maintenance of budgets and forecasting processes.

* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accurate financial reporting.

* Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze financial data, and suggest improvements.

* Extremely detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of accounting and reporting.

* Understanding of tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate tax compliance.

* Effectively communicates (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

* Strong organizational skills, project management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Dependable, responsible, and self-managed.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments & international teams (China & Mexico).

* Strong proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,).

* Comfortable in an environment with deadlines and priority shifts.

* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

* Ability to speak Mandarin or Spanish is a plus. null
