Cape Abilities Retail Market Manager in Dennis, Massachusetts
The retail market manager is an efficient, motivated, & organized individual who works collaboratively as part of the farm?s leadership team. The retail market manager oversees all aspects of the market?s operations including ordering, merchandising, staff supervision & customer service. The retail market manager works with the farm director & inventory specialist in the maintenance of Square?s point of sale. The market manager models high quality service, keeping customer satisfaction & market presentation as the top priority. The ideal candidate will be business-oriented with strong experience in retail operations, have a knowledge of produce, as well as demonstrated success working in a diverse team. The retail market manager will work with customers & internal stakeholders to build & maintain a roadmap that is designed to deliver a superior shopping experience, increase sales & delivery systems (eCommerce) & operational efficiency. The retail market manager additionally works closely with the farm manager, head grower, produce membership & community coordinator & the facilities manager. Oversees the weekly purchasing of food products for the farm market in addition to an eclectic inventory of items representing the arts, clothing, personal care & pet products. In coordination with the Inventory Specialist maintains all purchasing records & vendor database within Square?s point of sale. Work with the head grower, to ensure all available farm grown product is represented in the farm market & maximizes cross-merchandising opportunities. Ensure all products are priced competitively & accurately in the market. Update signage & point of purchase marketing, as needed. Works with Farm Market Associates to minimize shrinkage of perishable items. In coordination with the Produce Membership & Community Coordinator collaborates on: the purchasing of produce for membership & community service events. promotions, enrollment, & member relations. Continuously generates leads of new products & vendors with an emphasis on developing partnerships with local entrepreneurs. Assists with scheduling to ensure proper coverage & maximum employment of individuals served. Creates daily farm market task lists for individuals served. Oversees nightly deposits, daily sales receipts, product invoices & monthly delivery of receiving documents to headquarters. As part of the leadership team, plans & executes promotional events such as open houses, promotional offerings, & educational family-friendly events. Collaborates with local food pantries to coordinate donations, as able. Works closely with marketing & communications to promote farm products in social media. Establishes & maintains professional relationships with customers, community contacts, vendors, & other key partners. Works collaboratively in a matrixed program & consistently demonstrate excellent stakeholder management at all levels of the organization. Maintains an encouraging & positive work environment for adults with disabilities. Attends all staff meetings, trainings, & development activities, as required. Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse &/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC).
