State of Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist III in Danvers, Massachusetts

_This position is located at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, Ma._ The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking applicants for the role of Speech Language Pathologist III. The Speech Language Pathologist III (SLP III) position is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals in this field to make a significant difference in the live of individuals that are supported by DDS in the Commonwealth. Duties and Responsibilities:(these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive.) * Coordinates and monitors the clinical activities within the field of Speech and Language Pathology through providing therapy, providing supervision and providing quality assurance activities and measures. * Provides ongoing assessment and clinical evaluation of individuals admitted to the Hogan Regional Center with regard to Speech and Language Pathology, through direct and indirect services. * Develops SLP department protocols for practice under professional guidelines as determined and dictates by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure and the Boards of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Department of Developmental Services (DDS) policies and Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations for the provision of clinical speech, language, communication, and dysphagia assessment and treatment and the provision of active treatment. * Provides clinical supervision to MA licensed and ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist I’s and II’s (SLP I and SLP II) and MA licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistants/licensed (SLPA/L). * Serves as member of the Hogan Regional Centers ongoing Quality Assurance Team and as senior advisor to Hogan Regional Centers Self Advocacy Group. * Provides in-service training to professional and ancillary staff in treatment approaches and interventions for individuals with communication needs. First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days. * * Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least three years, after licensure, of full-time or equivalent part-time, professional experience in speech-language pathology/therapy in a recognized public or private agency or organization of which at least two years must have been in a supervisory capacity. Special Requirements: Possession of a current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Massachusetts' Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
