Eliot Community Human Services Respite Clinical Supervisor in Danvers, Massachusetts

Eliot’s Behavioral Health Division provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that are evidence based, provide rehabilitation and hope to those in services.
Eliot is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide overall clinical supervision and oversight of service delivery to Respite clients. In addition the Clinical Supervisor provides direct clinical interventions to individuals this includes adapting client's treatment plans as well as providing support for recovery and rehabilitation when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall clinical supervision and oversight of service delivery of Respite consumers.
Provide clinical guidance and support in developing interventions and supervision of Respite staff. Teach and model clinical interventions, strength based strategies and ensure services are culturally competent.
Complete intakes of new consumers, complete required assessments, obtain authorizations, complete crisis plans and coordinate aspects of consumer admission according to Agency and DMH policies.
In collaboration with the consumer and staff members, oversee the development of IAP’s (Individualized Action Plans) for each consumer that are strength based.
Provide supervision to staff in working with consumers and other providers, where applicable, to ensure that the IAP is consumer centered and fully inclusive of the consumer’s preferences. Ensure that treatment goals are realistic, attainable and embrace recovery and rehabilitation.
Provide supervision to staff to ensure that each staff member is actively engaging consumers in their IAPs, interventions and life goals. Oversee staff members overall adherence to clinical interventions, cultural preferences and guide staff in specific Evidence Based Practices.
Provide interventions to consumers related to their IAP and support recovery and rehabilitation when needed.
Develop, in collaboration with other staff, clinical groups and skills groups in order to support consumers while at Respite. Where appropriate engage consumers in CBT, DBT, integrated dual diagnosis treatment, self-management plans, and other clinical interventions. Assist consumers in developing and practicing self-management skills, coping skills and clinically appropriate skills.
Focus on supporting consumers and staff members working collaboratively towards progress and provide leadership, direction and clinical interventions to support this process.
Continuously assess training needs of staff and provide ongoing training to staff members related to observations or directed by Program Director.
Promote concepts of health and wellness.
Act as the clinical backup on call supervisor. Assist with issues pertaining to consumer care, medications, psychiatric/medical crises and acuity. Provide direct clinical support to consumers where needed to avoid use of emergency rooms and emergency services unnecessarily.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor consistent with job classification.
Qualifications: Must have master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field and have a corresponding clinical license within the State of Massachusetts. Must have at least four years experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness and at least two years supervisory experience. May require additional or specialized training with specialized populations such as co-occurring disorder, DBT, working with transitional aged population or other Evidence Based Practices. Must have a strong commitment to mental health recovery. Must have the skills to establish supportive relationships with adults with mental illness who may be homeless, may have significant legal issues, may be transitional age, may beelders, may have problematic sexual behaviors, may have histories of violence, may not be taking medication and may be in crisis. Ability to provide flexible services that are community based and focused on team work. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialingrequirements. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Must have reliable telephone notification system for emergency contact.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Location: Danvers, MA
Salary: Starting at 55k
6% bilingual salary increase if fluent in the needed language capacity.
The sign-on bonus is prorated for positions under 40 hours per week
