Job Description:

  • Schedule : Sunday and Monday 6:30am-11:30pm (32 Hours)

Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) is a 23 bed detoxification program dedicated to helping men and women with substance use histories who have gone through multiple attempts in treatment. Clients are provided with a short-term intensive treatment program to guide them with their transition to long term care. Services include individual and group counseling, risk assessment for TB & STDs, HIV education, case management, and after-care follow up services. The Recovery Specialist position is a great opportunity for someone who seeks to be a positive presence in the life in those who are struggling with addiction.

The Recovery Specialist’s Responsibilities Are:

  • Ensuring the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities

  • Observes and supervises clients and unit; conducts 30 minute client well-being checks

  • Conducts telephone admission screenings as well as other admissions duties

  • Searches client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as otherwise directed by supervisor

  • Completes all necessary checklists, shift documentation and record keeping in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Experience working with substance use population is preferred

  • Valid MA Driver’s License in good standing preferred
