Eliot Community Human Services PACT Dual Diagnosis Clinician in Danvers, Massachusetts

Description

Eliot is currently seeking a substance abuse clinician for the North Shore branch of our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team. The ideal candidate will have experience developing & facilitating dual diagnosis groups. Knowledge of motivational interviewing, harm reduction techniques, 12 step programs, detoxification facilities as well as proven experience in community-based work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness are a must.

PACT is an evidenced based multidisciplinary outreach mental program that serves adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses in the community. PACT clinicians work as a team to collaborate with consumers to develop treatment interventions that assist them in their recovery process.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in completing substance abuse assessments.

  • Participate in treatment planning meetings on a weekly basis through written documentation and clinical discussions.

  • Act as a primary case manager consumers.

  • Provide individualized therapy to reduce consumers’ symptoms and carry out each intervention indicated on consumer treatment plan either as primary case manager or mini-team member.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm with a rotating 12-8 shift, rotating weekend and on-call shifts.

Salary: $64, 459.20 annual

Experience

Required

  • 2 years: Working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

  • 2 years: Working with people who are dually diagnosed.

Preferred

  • Experience developing and facilitating dual diagnosis groups, motivational interviewing, harm reduction techniques, 12 step programs, detoxification facilities and evidenced based practices for dual diagnosis.
