State of Massachusetts Inventory Control Coord II in Danvers, Massachusetts

_This Position is located at Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA_ The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a full-time Inventory Control Coordinator II position working in the northeast Regional at Hogan Regional Center. The Inventory Control Coordinator II will be responsible for the operation of central supply. They will supervise central supply staff in the execution of their duties. They will also be responsible for ordering, shipping, receiving and the distribution of supplies throughout the facility and must maintain appropriate and accurate inventory to meet the demands of the facility and region. Duties and Responsibilities:(these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): * Management of cycle count process, ensuring that all daily counts are performed correctly. * Develop and maintain tracking system to ensure correct material and quantity. * Physical & systematic “accurate and timely” inventory reconciliation functions. * Trouble shoot quantity discrepancies with manufactures and shipping companies. * Work and collaborate with purchasing department on purchase order and deliveries. * Receives deliveries from logistics companies. * Must serve as backup and provide support for Central Supply staff. * Record and monitor all items with a shelf-life with daily rotation to prevent its expiration as needed. * Prepare reports as needed. * Prepare and participate in all physical inventory functions. * Supervise staff at a lower grade. * Responsible for the organization and safe storage of biohazard containers and facilities their pickup by the appropriate vendors. * Preforms duties related to shipping and receiving such as loading and unloading from trucks using pallet jacks and dolly’s and other equipment for transport. * Responsible for the long-term storage of furniture, equipment and supplies. * Meets with supervisor weekly and team members daily to discuss operational issues. * Preforms maintenance on all central supply’s equipment. * Responsible for the cleanliness of all central supply areas of operation. * Adheres to policies and procedures of the facilities * Must be able to life heavy items in a repetitive manner. * Performs all duties assigned by the supervisory team. Required Qualifications: * Ability to read, write and communicate in order to follow written and verbal job functions. * Ability to work independently and/or lead in a team environment. * Must have good communication skills. * Must be detailed oriented. * Excellent manual dexterity. * Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. * Must be able to life 70 lbs. repetitively. * Must be able to comprehend and follow all job procedures and safety protocols Preferred Qualifications: * Inventory control Management * Prior facility experience preferred * Customer relations experience Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. Days Off: Saturday/Sunday About the Department of Developmental Services: * * The mission of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is to create innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder to participate fully and contribute meaningfully to their communities as valued members.
