Robert Half Customer Service Specialist in Danvers, Massachusetts

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Danvers, Massachusetts for an Inventory Clerk. This role is primarily focused on supporting our Procurement/Inventory Department and maintaining vendor relations. You will be working closely with our clients, handling electronic inventory, purchasing, and logistics. Strong software skills and good business sense are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Procurement/Inventory Department in their daily operations

• Maintain strong and professional relationships with our vendors

• Handle electronic inventory, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking of all items

• Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring all items are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner

• Manage logistics to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of inventory

• Utilize strong software skills to maintain and update our inventory management system

• Utilize good business sense to make decisions that will benefit the company

• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, resolving any issues or inquiries they may have regarding their inventory or purchases

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records Requirements • Must possess at least 1 year of experience in inventory management or a related role.

• Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management is required.

• Familiarity with asset inventory procedures and systems is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in performing purchasing activities is desirable.

• Excellent customer service skills are required.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.

• Proficiency in using inventory software and databases is preferred.

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines is essential.

• Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts are required.

• Knowledge of inventory laws and regulations would be an advantage.

• Ability to lift heavy items occasionally may be required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in logistics or a related field will be considered a plus.
