Essex North Shore is seeking a Liaison to the Athletic Coordinator, with an expected start date of on or around July 1, 2024. The Liaison to the Athletic Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation, preparation, and coordination of athletic programming. CORI, SORI and SAFIS required. Bilingual preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION Liaison to the Athletic Coordinator FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as Non-Exempt (Classified). REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Liaison to the Athletic Coordinator will report to the Coordinator of Athletics, Wellness, & Health Services. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Athletics coaching knowledge and background desired. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in stressful situations. Ability to thoughtfully manage sporting events, crowds, spectators, and students. Familiarity with event management. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent-Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state and federal law. DUTIES: Supervises athletic events - including nights, weekends, and over vacations, under the direction of the Athletic Coordinator. Demonstrates knowledge of and is responsible for promoting and enforcing policies and protocols in the MIAA Handbook, the ENSATS Student Handbook, and the ENSATS Athletic Handbook. Assists with the cross-referencing of officials for all home athletic events. Assists with the cross-referencing of transportation for all away athletic events. Distributes the weekly schedule of all athletic events to the school community. Inventories athletic equipment seasonally and annually. Assists coaches with the distribution of athletic uniforms prior to season(s). Recruits and assigns game attendants for all home athletic events. (Away events when applicable) Models behaviors outlined in the MIAA and NFHS Coaches Code of Ethics. Create registrations for all sports seasons and ensure all student-athletes are registered for Athletics with up-to-date information, physicals, and payments. Onboard coaches and staff as needed with paperwork, CORI checks, concussion training, implicit bias training, and other needs of the department. Updates and maintains the athletics website and social media platforms. Works alongside the Coordinator of Athletics for Sports Awards Nights including planning, implementing, and gathering awards and certificates. Performs other duties as required and assumes such other responsibilities as the Coordinator of Athletics, Wellness, & Health Services may assign. PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times. The position will require in and out-of-district travel. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a 12-month position and 210 annual work days. Salary and fringe benefits are established by the Superintendent-Director in accordance with the policies established by the School Committee. " />
