WWTP Attendant (Nights) Department: DPW / Water Pollution Control Employment Status: UFCW Laborers Union, Non-Exempt; Full-Time (40 Hours) Salary: Grade 6L, Step 05 - \$18.91/Hour + Licenses and \$0.75 shift differential Schedule: Mon-Fri - 2:00PM - 12:00AM Certifications/Licenses Required: MA Class B CDL License, MA 1B/2C Hoisting License (within Probationary Period). SUMMARY The City of Chicopee\'s Department of Public Works / Wastewater Treatment Plant is hiring an Attendant (Nights) who has the primary responsibilities will be in the operation, maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all plan process equipment, buildings, and grounds for proper and safe operation. Dries vehicles to transport facility residual. ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE: Clean, lubricate, paint, maintain, pumps, chain drives, pumps, pump, stations, compressors, vehicles, works with preventative maintenance program and related tasks. In charge of day-to-day maintenance of all assigned vehicles; drive, maintain, clean, registry inspection, scheduling of routine preventative maintenance. Operates CDL vehicle as needed for the removal, emptying of containers, transportation and disposal of residual and materials. Will be required to work in all divisions of the DPW-Public Utilities. Snow Removal: may be assigned to DPW Highway to operate plows/sanders/ any and all other storm related equipment during snow and ice removal. Other duties as assigned per the full job description. QUALIFICATIONS Massachusetts Class B Licenses with Air brakes and tanker endorsement - Required Massachusetts 1B/2C Hoisting License - Required (Must obtain within Probationary Period). Massachusetts Class A License - Desired High School Diploma or Equivalent 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
