Cenveo CNC Programmer Machinist in Chicopee, Massachusetts

CNC Programmer Machinist #8621 Full-time SALARIED - Hourly Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience Ability to identify proper speeds & feeds based upon feature and material Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) a plus Familiar with G-code and/or conversational programming languages; CAM programming is a plus Confident with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Experience working with various metal and plastic materials Technical ability and math skills Work independently and/or in a team Suitable verbal and written communication skills Ability to meet physical requirements of the job Deadline-oriented mindset; Attention to detail Description Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for an experienced a CNC Programmer / Machinist in manufacturing facility located in Chicopee, MA. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, Cenveo provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Summary Control machining and process materials by utilizing automatic machine tools, equipment, or systems. Interpret blueprints, enter design specifications, adjust cutting paths, and perform quality checks. Routine machine maintenance including troubleshoot any issues that arise during production. Shift/Schedule/Pay 1st shift position (flexibility may be required) Mon-Fri / Saturdays may be required based on business needs. Pay Range \$25/hr or higher depnding on experience Duties and Responsibilities Fabricate items such as machine parts and tools Set up CNC lathes / milling machines according to blueprint specifications Select and align holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials onto machines Conduct quality assurance checks Make machine adjustments; modify program speeds Meet production schedules Routine maintenance and troubleshoot as needed Follow all safety regulations Other duties as assigned/required Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Must have ability to read applicable documents with or without corrective lenses Must be able to carry, lift objects on a regular basis Must be able to push, pull, stand, and walk for long periods of time Must be able to bend, grasp, and reach regularly throughout the day Mental alertness to operate equipment Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection in the production areas This position requires manual dexterity using hand / finger coordination
