CNC Machine Operator Job description Chicopee manufacturing company currently seeking a CNC Cutter/Grinder operator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in various grinding techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision tools and equipment. Experience with round carbide tooling is preferred. Responsibilities Operate CNC and grinding machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Round carbide tooling is preferred. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of dimensions. Work with sheet metal and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles as required. Conduct routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Experience with round carbide tooling is preferred! Proven experience in machining, specifically with grinding operations. Familiarity with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with plasma cutting is a plus. Strong understanding of GD&T principles. Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Experience with an CNC Anca machine is a plus!
