Job Description
Software Engineer (Grant Funded position)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with specialized expertise in climate modeling to join our dynamic team. This position will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing software solutions for advanced climate models. The successful candidate will collaborate with climate scientists, researchers, and fellow engineers to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our climate modeling software.

Requirements
Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in software development with a focus on climate modeling.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran.
Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and high-performance computing environments are required.
Strong understanding of climate science principles and modeling methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and effective communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment are highly desirable.
