Job Description

Research Technician- McDannald Lab

The McDannald lab in the Boston College Department of Psychology & Neuroscience is recruiting a full-time, research technician.The position is available immediately and is supported by newly awarded NIH grants.

The technician will be working on projects aimed to understand how the brain computes threat, and how threat behavior is organized. This 2-year position is ideal for someone looking to gain neuroscience skills and research experience before applying to graduate school. Technical training and career mentorship will be provided.

Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.


Applicants should possess a B.S. or B.A. in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who are eager to learn, and want to conduct rigorous science. Applicants must be willing to work with rodents. Prior experience with rodents is preferred, but not required. Applicants must commit to maintaining a healthy and respectful work environment.
