Job Description
The Fiscal Specialist will be responsible for processing and regular reporting of accounts receivable and accounts payable, vouchers and expense reimbursement for CCC staff and faculty, including expenditures funded by operating, gift, and grant budgets.
Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions Necessary for monthly reconciliation and reporting.
Responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping operations for CCC $4 million+ operating budget
Oversees compliance to organizational and University financial policies
Communicates financial policy to CCC managers and staff
Interacts with departments outside of CCC including purchasing, payroll, Office of Sponsored programs and Accounts Payable.
Responsible for all invoicing ( volume), including membership renewal schedule, manages payroll for weekly paid staff and student employees
Works with Director of Operations and Associate Director to maintain financial integrity of CCC records and systems
Bill customers and maintain billing files for all accounts * Process accounts payable including purchase orders, check requisitions for BC, outside vendors, and consultants, and staff expense reimbursement
Respond to inquiries from customers and vendors regarding fees, invoices, payments and refunds
Process and monitor accounts receivable for department membership and all product and service lines
Prepare accurate membership report and forecast monthly
Deposit to the University income from all sources
Make general ledger entries
Budget transfers for University and grant accounts
Responsible for all Customer Financial Information requests - Supplier Data, W-9's, Charitable Contribution Receipts
Assist Director of Operations in all operational aspects, financial reporting, and administrative records for monthly and quarterly analysis with reconciling department accounting records with University record
Assist Director of Operations with preparing monthly income statements and other financial reports
Supervision and hiring of student employees

Hiring Range: $25.85/hr to $32.31/hr. Pay rate commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Functional knowledge of accounting principles and practice
Ability to learn Peachtree or equivalent software
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to quickly learn University accounting system
Ability to interact effectively with professional staff and corporate clientele
Accounting coursework preferred
Minimum of 3 years performing bookkeeping function for business or large non-profit organization
