Job Description
Registered Dietitian
Boston College is seeking a dedicated full-time Registered Dietitian to support the health and wellness of our undergraduate and graduate students. This role is positioned in University Health Services and involves providing comprehensive nutrition education, counseling, and assessments. The position collaborates closely with Health Services, Counseling Services, and Student Outreach and Support to deliver holistic care for students, particularly those with diagnosed eating disorders or disordered eating behaviors. Additionally, the role engages in prevention programming and wellness initiatives with campus partners to foster a multidisciplinary approach to student health.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct evidence-based nutritional assessments, education, and counseling for students.
Collaborate with campus staff in providing services for students with diagnosed eating disorders or disordered eating.
Develop and deliver prevention programming and wellness initiatives in partnership with other departments.
Work with the campus Dining Services dietitian to provide meal-plan-specific nutrition counseling.
Offer training for student leaders, including health coaches in the Center for Student Wellness.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and medical standards.
In order to create a more inclusive community within the Division of Student Affairs, each staff member is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $63,800 to $79,750; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related field.
Registered Dietitian (RD) and/or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) credential.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nutrition counseling with adolescents and/or young adults.
Expertise in working with individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating.
Commitment to a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to nutrition.
