Job Description
This individual is responsible for assisting in the supervision of the HVAC, PM and the EMS shops within the HVAC Shop. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, supervising and providing direction in relation to prioritization and assignment of work orders to the HVAC Shop employees. This includes inspection of work upon completion, to ensure that all work is in compliance with local codes and that it meets regulatory requirements. In addition, this individual will analyze and evaluate work to ensure efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement. The preparation of reports and the maintenance of records relating to all shop activities is also required.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $90,100 to $112,600; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Refrigeration license required. Requires a minimum of five years of recent supervisory experience in the HVAC trade, preferably in a Union environment, preferably in Higher Education. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of growth, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to make decisions. A proven track record with continuous professional development in the HVAC field must be demonstrated. Post secondary education preferred. Familiarity with computer programs, such as Google Applications, CMMS Software, and People Soft and an aptitude to learn computer programs used by the University is required. Process weekly payroll for Shop employees in Kronos. Must be customer service- oriented, possess the ability to communicate effectively with administrators, trades personnel, students and other shop customers. Requires a current valid driver's license.
