Position Summary: We are seeking a Precision Clock Assembler to join our Repair & Restoration department. The ideal candidate will perform various operations to repair and assemble mechanical clock movements, utilizing bench-type repair techniques and small component adjustments. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Repair and assemble clock and mechanical movements with precision. Utilize various hand bench tools, including screwdrivers, tweezers, broaches, files, cutters, and hammers. Use micrometers, dial gauges, and eye loupes to fit and assemble small parts, ensuring exacting measurements and tolerances. Operate small machines as part of the assembly process. Follow production orders, verbal, and general instructions meticulously. Maintain high organizational standards and produce consistent, high-quality work in line with company specifications. Position Requirements: Mechanical Aptitude: o Skill Level: Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to work with small, intricate parts. o Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with using various hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, tweezers, files) and measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial gauges) is essential. o Manual Precision: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to manipulate small components with accuracy. Attention to Detail: o Precision: The ability to maintain exacting measurements and tolerances for clock assembly and repair. o Quality Control: A keen eye for detail to ensure that the finished products meet the company\'s high standards of quality. Experience: o Relevant Background: Prior experience in manufacturing assembly, particularly in precision work or horology, is preferred. o Problem-Solving: Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues within clock movements or similar machinery. Organizational Skills: o Work Consistency: Candidates must produce consistent, high-quality work in line with company specifications. o Time Management: Efficiently managing time to meet service and production deadlines and schedules. Educational Background: o Basic Requirements: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. o Technical Training: Additional technical education or training in mechanics or horology can be beneficial. Communication Skills: o Language Proficiency: Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English to understand and follow detailed instructions and documentation. o Team Collaboration: Ability to work well with colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting team efforts. Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: o Training: Openness to training and learning new techniques specific to the company\'s products and repair processes. o Flexibility: Ability to adapt to new tools, methods, and technologies as they are introduced.
