Shipping Specialist / Material Handler ll

Shift: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

For a 3 month assigment - Tempt to perm

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific and make a significant impact. As a Shipping Specialist, you will prepare and review shipping documents, ensure goods are properly packed, verify shipping costs, and perform other related duties.

Responsibilities:

• Print and manage Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Pull components for assembly and print labels for kits

• Perform transactions in ERP system accurately

• Conduct daily cycle counts and organize new materials

• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE

• Assist with shipping orders and shrink wrap pallets

• Handle hazardous materials for kitting and shipping

• Operate pallet jacks and dollies

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience in domestic and international shipping

• DOT and IATA certification required

• Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Basic math skills and ability to use a computer

• Ability to read and understand engineering documentation

• Able to lift 35 pounds periodically and wear proper PPE

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
