Lab/Department Specific functions and requirements:
Under the supervision of Dr. Fabrisia Ambrosio, the candidate should have experience in conducting literature research, ideally as a medical librarian. The applicant should have expertise in comprehensive literature searches, systematic reviews, data management, and data analysis. Strong skills are required in statistics, data analysis, and creating tables/figures/graphs. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written English communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and present data.
Maintains records and databases.
Uses software programs to generate graphs and reports.
Prepares reports of completed projects for: publication in technical journals, presentations at professional meetings/conferences, and for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.
Disseminates findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations at scientific and community meetings, internal and external seminars, and other venues.
Performs project management and other administrative support duties as required.
Collaborates with lab members to expand the lab’s research portfolio.
Participates in the preparation of grants for submission to federal and private agencies with the lab director.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education/Degree: Bachelor’s degree and coursework (training) in library information required.
Required Experience:
Experience as a medical librarian.
Background in literature searches and data management.
Peer reviewed publications.
Strong expertise in data collection, analysis, and written/graphic presentation.
Knowledge of research protocols.
