Berkshire East Resort Bartender in Charlemont, Massachusetts

CHARLEMONT- Bartender Job Summary Serve drinks and beverages to patrons of bar and restaurant following standard recipes. May be premixed as well as cans or bottles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote a positive interaction and experience with bar patrons. Check patron\'s ID\'s to ensure alcohol is served to only those over 21 years old. Prepare drinks following standard bar recipes and menus. Maintain process for an efficient and coordinated food service. Adhere to liquor portion standards established by menus and company. Input orders into POS system, collect payment and make accurate change. Manage the till, count start cash and prepare nightly deposit bags. Complete sales reports and accounting forms for back office. Connect with patrons; learn their name, favorite drinks, their interests. Engage in conversation; thank patrons and make them feel appreciated. Wash and sterilize glasses, stemware and other serving utensils. Ensure availability of supplies, prepare liquor and bar supply orders. Rotate stock, hook up C02 tanks, keg lines and replace boxed syrups. Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive bar display. Report any necessary equipment repair or maintenance needed to manager. Maintain garnishes preserving the quality, temperature, and appearance. Keep bar, storage areas and coolers organized and clean at all times. Check and maintain correct temperatures of coolers and walk-ins. Count drinks guests are served and track open bar tabs. Assist with on-going resort events, large gatherings or weddings. Serve alcohol responsibly being aware of patron\'s state of intoxication. Secure area at closing; bar taps, cash registers, bottled alcohol, and coolers. Comply with sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Perform other tasks as assigned by manager. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Skilled in providing outstanding customer service. Professional bartender training or prior bartending experience required. Serv-Safe Alcohol certification preferred. TIPS certification preferred. High energy and stamina required. Work Standards: Maintain high standards in the quality & consistency of work. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Requirements Shift Requirements: Hours may be late afternoon and nights, including weekends & holidays. Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least age 18.
